Virgin Bet Adds A Little Sunshine to Goodwood’s August Bank Holiday Festival

Now that we’ve finally dried off from a very wet August Bank Holiday weekend, we’re looking back on a brilliant day of activity for Virgin Bet at Goodwood.
Goodwood’s picturesque setting is part of its appeal, but its countryside location means it’s a fair way from the nearest station. With racegoers relying on the shuttle from Chichester train station, we saw an opportunity to make the journey part of the experience too.
The Each Way Express, Virgin Bet’s branded VIP shuttle hosted by Sky Sports presenter Hayley McQueen, took selected racegoers from Chichester station to Goodwood, with an upgraded journey complete with Virgin Bet goodie bags and a few surprises along the way.
The activation formed part of a wider Virgin Bet takeover at Goodwood, designed to add extra moments of entertainment and reward throughout the day.
The brand’s focus on the overall race day experience also extended to personal safety. Through its partnership with WalkSafe, the UK’s leading personal safety app, Virgin Bet helped put safer journeys at the heart of the experience. The partnership goes beyond traditional sponsorship, with WalkSafe providing features including safer route planning and real-time journey sharing to help racegoers feel more confident getting to and from events and, importantly, get home safely.
For those already at Goodwood, Virgin Bet offered further ways to enhance the day. Virgin Bet app users were able to take advantage of ‘Queue Jump’, providing access to a dedicated fast-track queue at the Sussex Bar, while all racegoers could visit the Virgin Bet horsebox photo booth to capture a souvenir from the occasion.
This activity reflects Virgin Bet's commitment to rewarding customers with exceptional rewards. From betting promotions and exclusive offers across the wider Virgin family to standout experiences, like The Each Way Express, the brand is committed to giving customers more while ensuring betting remains safe and fun.
