MatchFit Kicks Off Exciting New BCOMS Partnership with First in-Office Workshop

This week we were excited to welcome a fantastic group of future industry stars, as the first cohort from our brilliant relationship with BCOMS spent the day at MatchFit HQ!
The wonderful BCOMS organisation is all about championing diversity in sports media through in-person workshops and development opportunities. We’ve seen first-hand the impact initiatives such as this can make, look no further than our brilliant JAE Tasmin Miah!
Led by our Senior Account Director and SLT member Sophie, this week we curated a day-long workshop which tackled a mock client brief, providing coaching opportunities and live pitch presentations to leadership for feedback.
After a hugely successful and rewarding day, we left with a stack of learnings to build on for our upcoming sessions (more news to come), and an early insight into some excellent talent.
Jack Badu, BCOMS' Programme Lead, said: "The first workshop was incredibly valuable for us as an organisation to see the scope of sports PR and opportunities within the industry. It was also very useful for attendees of the workshop to see what a live brief might entail and to try their hand at this with support from the team at MatchFit.
"The cohort took loads away on the day - not only the technical side of what a brief would look like and how to deliver on that brief at MatchFit, which is a brilliant transferable skill but they also got to meet the MatchFit team and gain a greater understanding of what sports PR type briefs look like. We're really excited to continue to work with MatchFit in the future and create more opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds."
