What a weekend for grassroots football!

For the first time ever, The FA’s Grassroots Football Awards, presented by Howdens, took place at Cardiff's Principality Stadium ahead of The FA Community Shield - honouring 12 truly amazing volunteers who go above and beyond for their clubs and communities - those people that keep grassroots football alive.

Winners stood in the guard of honour for the player walkouts, went pitchside and got to meet footballing legends like Paul Merson, Rachel Yankey, Sue Smith and Aaron Lennon, before watching the match unfold.

Working alongside The FA to make sure these stories reached as far and wide as they deserved, we set up a number of media interviews for our winners as well as our wider announcements that landed across the regions and internationally, as well as some social-first with a series of influencers.

We are so proud of every single winner, and it was extremely fulfilling to work on a project that celebrates the people who make grassroots football what it is.
