
As Fanatics Collectibles and Topps prepared to open its first global flagship store outside of the United States, MatchFit was briefed to create an epic launch week that captured the moment and momentum behind the consumer sports memorabilia industry.

Three days. Three epic events to celebrate a global milestone for Fanatics, all centred around its new Regent Street home in central London.
Firstly, some of the UK’s best-loved creators and most in-the-know journalists got a preview to help us announce Fanatics’ debut global flagship store. With media such as Time Out, TalkSPORT and VERSUS alongside influencers including Elz the Witch, Manny and WillNE, the stage was officially set.
Next up, a special VIP opening party packed full of footballers, celebs and creators, as well as a live in-person episode of 'Rio Ferdinand Presents' with guests Dominic Solanke, Tosin Adarabioyo and Fanatics Founder, Michael Rubin.
Finally, to round off the week, our ribbon-cut fan event with Lewis Hamilton became a viral sensation, with thousands lining the iconic Regent Street pavement.

With camera crews, influencers, media and adoring fans in attendance, it’s safe to say that the Fanatics Collectibles store opening was unmissable! The week of packed crowds featured media, influencers, celebs, collectors and fans alike, creating content at every step of the consumer journey.
With hundreds of pieces of creator content and event coverage everywhere from Hypebeast and VERSUS, to The FT and talkSPORT, it was a launch fitting of a premium consumer destination.
