Let Girls Play’s Biggest Ever Football Session 2024 shortlisted for 'Marketing Communications: Culture, Media, Sport and Travel'

MatchFit enjoyed another fantastic year working on The FA’s “Let Girls Play” campaign, helping secure equal access to football at school for young girls.

On International Women’s Day this year, Let Girls Play’s Biggest Ever Football Session 2024 was hosted at multiple locations in the UK, being attended by current and former players including Arsenal’s Lotte Wubben-Moy, Fara Williams, and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

The campaign saw its best results yet:

475,000 players took part

71% of schools signed up had never done so before

Media was secured across all sectors and regions, including; BBC News, ITV News, Sky Sports News, JOE.co.uk, BBC West Midlands and more

Working with our partners at The FA, with the Let Girls Play campaign we are able to increase the interest for girls football and provide young girls with the opportunity to play the sport. This campaign means so much to the whole agency and we are truly fulfilling MatchFit’s mission to make everyone love sport as much as we do, so a huge thank you to PRWeek UK Awards for the recognition and shortlisting.
